The Gardens
Overlooking Ben Nevis and Glen Coe, Ard Daraich is the former holiday home of Constance Spry set in 8 acres of Hill Garden with an important collection of Rhododendrons, Acers and other rare trees and shrubs.

For the last 40 years we have been building a collection of ericacious plants, with over a thousand different Rhododendron species and hybrids and hundreds of Acers and Sorbus trees - all in all a collection that is starting to draw many specialists. The land opposite the house has now become an interesting woodland with Styrax, Davidia, Liquidamber and Stachyurus. The house is defined in front with a Camellia (Debbie) hedge, which in Spring is spectacular.

Home Produce
Constance Spry was famous for her food and flower arranging and the current owners, Norrie and Anna Maclaren are following in her footsteps with a line of home produce inspired by her famous cookery bible, and now offer these for sale.

We try and collect as much Food for Free as we can, otherwise picking fruit locally if possible. We have two major exceptions; Our Delicious Damson Chutney, possibly the BEST in the world, is made from Damsons picked in the Lake District and grown by friends there who are working to establish the Damson as a wonderful British Fruit worth treasuring, and Seville Oranges used in our Marmalade and irreplaceable by anything grown here.

Our other ingredients are Organic where possible, bought through a food Co-operative and so trying to make good food available at a reasonable price. Due to seasonal differences our range may change from time to time depending on the weather.

'How amazing to find not just a wonderful place but an old friend from the past. We came because of Constance Spry- a million other reasons to visit as well'
